About Atlantic Beach, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Atlantic Beach, New York is a lovely seaside village on Long Island.  The village is located within the city of Hempstead. It is an affluent area known for its lovely beachfront homes and luxurious accommodations. This part of the world experiences seasonal changes in weather making this a bustling resort area in the summer and a bit quieter and more laid back area in the winter.

More than just a vacation spot for the summer, the village has quite a few claims to fame… and has more than 15 minutes of it.  It is the home of the fictional character Sonny Corleone in the classic film, The Godfather. In keeping with its mobster movie reputation, scenes from both the HBO series The Sopranos and a great deal of the film, Goodfellas were filmed within Atlantic Beach.  The hit TV shows, “Law & Order” and “Boardwalk Empire” have also filmed at some famous Atlantic Beach hotspots.

Atlantic Beach is just one section of the much larger town of Hempstead, which occupies the southwest part of Nassau County. With over 20 incorporated villages within (or partially within) he town, its population is well over 700,000.  The majority of the population of Nassau County lives within the confines of the town. If the town were ever incorporated as a city, it would beat out Buffalo as the second largest city in the entire state.  New York City, of course, being the largest.  In addition, Long Island is the largest and longest (hence, the name) island in the contiguous United States, the 11th longest in the country, and the 148th largest island in the entire world. Taking all of this into account, one can imagine what this town’s beaches look like in the heat of the summer.
